MOLYKOTE^® 557 Silicone Dry Film Lubricant

MOLYKOTE^® 557 Silicone Dry Film Lubricant is a high-performance solution for long-term wear and high-pressure protection of surfaces and equipment.  MOLYKOTE^® 557 forms a thin, waxy-film-like coating once the carrier solvent evaporates at ambient temperature. MOLYKOTE^® 557 is an extreme-pressure lubricant with exceptional release properties. This makes the 557 dry film lubricant a phenomenal lubricant for cutting and forming metals and for heavily loaded tracks, cams, and slides, to name a few.

MOLYKOTE^® 557 can be applied via brushing, dipping, spraying from an aerosol can, or an automatic lubricator. Only a thin film of the lubricant is needed for maximum results. Freezing the dry film lubricant should be avoided, and any unnecessary solvent loss should be kept to a minimum. MOLYKOTE^® 557 can be removed or cleaned from the application site by most solvents or vapor degreasing.
