Plastic Lubrication

Machinery parts and components made from plastic can be an easier and more cost effective alternative to traditional metal parts for some applications. Similar to metal components, proper lubrication can extend the operating life and efficiency beyond using no lubricant at all. Some features contained in traditional lubricants are not useful or functional in plastic lubrication. Compatibility between lubricant and plastic is a key aspect to consider in selecting a lubricant to not weaken or degrade the performance properties of the plastic part.
