MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL Anti-Friction Coating is a specialty lubricant for metal combinations involving slow to medium speeds and low to medium loads. Learn more.
MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL Anti-Friction Coating is a heat-cured, dry film lubricant with a high viscosity designed to withstand long-term surface wear. It provides excellent resistance to high-temperature environments, oils, greases, and other solvent chemistries without damaging the metal surface.
MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL can be applied through screen printing, spraying, or brushing and is well suited for equipment subjected to slow or moderate speeds and low to medium loads. MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL can be cured at 200°C in 20 minutes; however, there is a recommended flash-off stage at 80°C for 10 minutes to evaporate the solvent prior to curing. Applications
Prior to applying MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL, the surface should be cleaned and degreased. For superior surface adhesion, pretreatment phosphating or sandblasting is recommended.
MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL can be applied via spraying, screen printing, or brushing. Depending on the application method, the anti-friction coating may be diluted to achieve appropriate viscosity. It should be applied to a thickness of 15 to 20 µm.
MOLYKOTE® D-10-GBL Anti-Friction Coating can be used in a wide variety of applications and equipment types, including the following:
Metal-on-metal surfaces with low to high speeds
Permanent lubrication of heavy-loaded contacts
Automotive pistons
Diesel combustion engines
Compressor and piston pumps
