Product Overview

MOLYKOTE® 106 Anti-Friction Coating (AFC) is a high-performance, solvent-based dry film lubricant that is heat cured and provides a permanent lubrication film.  MOLYKOTE® 106 AFC leaves a gray film coating with a very low coefficient of friction and excellent heavy-load capacity without the need for relubrication or frequent maintenance. MOLYKOTE® 106 exhibits incredible thermal stability at extremely low- and high-temperature operation (−70°C to 250°C). This specialty lubricant is excellent for metal-on-metal interfaces and provides maintenance-free, permanent lubrication for high-stressed friction applications.

Applications

MOLYKOTE® 106 Anti-Friction Coating can be used in a broad array of applications that require long-term dry-film lubrication, including the following:

Magnetic armatures
Equipment with low-speed or oscillating movements
Locks, hinges, and joints
Engine and gear components
Equipment with high-stress surface friction
Equipment where grease or oil lubrication is undesired
