Application
Chemical environments can often times necessitate difficult requirements from a lubrication perspective. Additives in lubricants can sometimes react with the process stream to form salt by products or precipitating out solids which negatively impact lubrication and cause additional wear and equipment damage. Additive packages specially formulated in some of the MOLYKOTE® lubricants for compressors or mechanical seals are designed to avoid some of the problems caused by reactive service.
